Who You Are – Are you someone who care deeply about supporting justice involved with co occurring disorders such as SUD or mental health? We are looking for a licensed clinical therapist who has managerial or experience and has worked with the justice involved population or similar populations with co-occurring disorders. The ideal candidate can supervisor licensed clinicians onsite. YOU MUST BE LICENSED. This is a full time Mon-Friday 8:00am-5pm position with occasional duties of leading a class if one of the clinicians is out.
Who We Are– We are a team professionals working in a non profit space dedicated to improving the lives of San Diego adults by helping incarcerated individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders as they prepare for re-entry into the community and create a new beginning. Program goals include educating clients about mental health substance use and coping mechanisms decreasing instances of relapse diminishing the impact of untreated health mental health and/or substance use issues and reducing recidivism.
This is a full time position with a robust benefit package with a team dedicated to improving the lives of San Diegans.
Position Purpose

Provide guidance and supervision to team members.

Oversee clinical services for incarcerated individuals with co-occurring substance use and psychiatric disorders.

Support clients' transition from detention facilities to the community.

Train new and existing clinical staff.

Assist Program Directors in administrative matters.
Essential Duties
-
Supervise and direct staff.
-
Oversee payroll reports and staff progress.
-
Assist with MediCal certifications and credentialing.

Provide clinical case management mental health assessments and counseling.

Perform crisis intervention and client advocacy.

Maintain detailed documentation of client progress.

Coordinate trainings with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.

Uphold program safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications

Knowledge of substance abuse disorders counseling theory and clinical care coordination.

Ability to assess clients develop treatment plans and maintain detailed documentation.

Experience working with incarcerated populations and diverse cultural groups.

Valid California driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification.

Mandatory clinical licensure (LMFT LCSW LPCC) and additional certifications preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands

Regularly required to sit stand talk hear use hands reach and lift up to 50 pounds.

Use written and oral communication skills read and interpret data solve complex problems and interact with various stakeholders.

Work in a field-based setting including correctional facilities and community settings.
Work Environment

Field-based setting with services provided in correctional facilities community settings or clients' homes.

Interaction with abusive and physically violent clients may occur.
Pay
For licensed therapists $104-$108k a year
For licensed therapists who are qualified to supervise hours for registered clinicians $108k-$114k a year
