Quality Control Technician – Carlsbad CA

Schedule: Monday – Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm
Pay Rate: $19–$20 per hour
Type: Temporary Assignment

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Quality Control Technician to join our team in Carlsbad. In this role you will perform Quality Control testing on products at various stages of production document findings and support daily QC functions such as stability studies raw material testing and proficiency testing.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a science background who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document QC testing on production lots and evaluation assignments

  • Support daily QC Chemistry functions (stability studies raw material testing customer complaint investigations)

  • Perform 1st article and final kit QC testing

  • Assist with new product development and improvement projects

  • Maintain lab organization and housekeeping

  • Operate laboratory equipment safely and accurately

  • Communicate effectively across departments (Manufacturing Materials R&D Quality Engineering)

  • Train new QC Technicians as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry Biology Life Science or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)

  • 0–2 years’ experience in a QC or manufacturing lab (medical device or high-volume manufacturing a plus)

  • Familiarity with QSRs/ISO GLP/GMP and general chemistry/laboratory techniques

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and documentation requirements

  • Basic computer and data entry skills

  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs. and work at the lab bench for extended periods

Work Environment

This position is based in a laboratory and manufacturing setting with exposure to chemicals biological samples and standard safety protocols. Proper personal protective equipment will be required.
