Senior Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Vista CA (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $25–$28/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Vista. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate AP records ensuring timely invoice processing and supporting strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices ensuring accuracy and timely payments to maximize vendor discounts
• Perform expense coding voucher preparation and payment processing
• Reconcile vendor accounts and respond to vendor inquiries
• Research and resolve discrepancies including receiving issues and price variances
• Monitor vendor aging goods received not invoiced and purchase order returns
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
• Support month-end close activities including accruals and journal entries
• Utilize and assist in training others on third-party AP systems and tools

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting Business or related field required
• 1–2+ years of accounts payable experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with accounting software and SaaS platforms
• Navision experience highly preferred
• OCR software and Accounts Receivable experience a plus
