Customer Service Representative – Call Center (Part-Time)

Location: Onsite in San Diego CA (92154)

Schedule: Part-Time 29 hours per week

Shifts: 11:30am–5:30pm or 12:00pm–6:00pm

Training: The first 2 weeks of work will be paid training Monday – Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm. Full attendance each day is required.

 

Pay: $21.75 per hour

Duration: Temporary with the potential to extend (based on performance and business need).

What You’ll Do

  • Handle a high volume of incoming calls providing prompt and courteous support.

  • Educate customers about services payment options and promotional offers.

  • Manage account inquiries related to toll payments FasTrak transponder accounts and express lane usage.

  • Assist customers in resolving overdue balances and prepare collection notices.

  • Maintain accurate account records using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

  • Process payments (credit card and cash) and perform accurate data entry.

  • Assemble welcome kits account materials and test transponders.

 

Requirements

  • Must pass a pre-employment credit check (periodic checks required).

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent customer service experience.

  • Call center experience strongly preferred (inbound and outbound).

  • Excellent attendance and reliability

  • Ability to handle high call volumes and diffuse challenging customer situations.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written (Spanish language skills a plus).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or call center software desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform mathematical calculations.

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check (periodic checks required).
