Paint Technician – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Vista CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Range: $22–$28 per hour based on experience

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Paint Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the precise application of primers and paints to aerospace components made from composite materials. The ideal candidate is experienced detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply epoxy primers and paints to small parts assemblies and composite aerospace surfaces

• Prepare surfaces using sanding and stripping techniques; perform layout and masking

• Mix and apply coatings per specifications and work instructions

• Interpret blueprints work orders and operation sheets

• Work with materials including resins carbon fiber fiberglass bonding agents and honeycomb structures

• Maintain accurate documentation: travelers inspection sheets build manuals etc.

• Monitor and record environmental and equipment readings (pressure humidity oven temps etc.)

• Adhere to all safety FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and tool control protocols

• Maintain clean organized work areas and follow 5S practices

• Participate in required training and assist with additional tasks as assigned

• Maintain VOC compliance records

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (due to export control regulations)

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in painting preferably in aerospace or composites

• Ability to pass and maintain a respirator fit test

• Excellent visual acuity (correctable to 20/20) and ability to pass a color vision test

• Skilled in masking techniques and use of related tools

• Familiar with technical drawings and blueprints

• Strong attention to detail and time management

• Able to stand sit and work for extended periods

• Must be reliable adaptable and able to communicate clearly in English

• Willingness to work occasional mandatory overtime and weekends
