Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Technician to join our team. This role involves performing tasks essential to finishing our composite parts ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will follow standard work methods and maintain a safe efficient work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform proper sanding techniques.

  • Conduct surface preparation painting finishing and corrosion control.

  • Ensure all work complies with operational policies including proper identification maintenance and segregation of materials.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed on maintenance documents (travelers).

  • Conduct quality inspections and verify work aligns with specifications.

  • Keep work areas clean and organized at the end of each shift.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in serviceable condition.

  • Follow all safety protocols including proper use of PPE.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • U.S. Person status (due to export control regulations).

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of processes.

  • Proficiency in basic math (addition subtraction multiplication division).

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions safety rules and procedure manuals in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Interpersonal skills for working in a team environment.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changes and handle criticism constructively.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in finishing sanding or manufacturing environments.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Constant standing moving and repetitive motions.

  • Frequent bending squatting and use of hands/arms for grasping and reaching.

  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Exposure to airborne particles moving mechanical parts and loud noise.

  • Constant use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
