Job Title: Production Maintenance Technician 1
Location: Sorrento Valley
Schedule: 1st shift 6:30am – 3pm Mon – Fri
Duration: Long term
Pay:1st shift $21-$26/hr DOE
Production Maintenance Technician 1

Install repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive maintenance.

Identify sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

Dismantle machinery and replace defective parts.
-
Determine changes in part requirements by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
-
Maintain equipment parts inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
-
Train production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
-
Provide mechanical maintenance information and answer inquiries.

Prepare maintenance reports by analyzing and summarizing data.
-
Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.

Maintain electronic records to comply with industry standards.
Requirements:

1+ years of related work experience.
-
High school graduate or GED required; technical school training in maintenance-related courses preferred.

Ability to interpret design documents manufacturer specifications and operational procedures.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

Strong attention to safety protocols.
-
Organizational skills to prioritize tasks accurately and efficiently.
-
Physically capable of walking climbing stairs and ladders and lifting/carrying at least 50 pounds.
-
Willingness to work overtime on special projects.

Basic computer proficiency and adaptability to job-related software.

Familiarity with tools and their proper use.
