Schedule:

8-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday and Holidays

Shifts:

Every Saturday and Sunday:

8am – 4:30 PM

or

10am – 6:30 PM

Or

11:30pm – 8:00 PM

Must be available to work either shift.

Additional shifts/hours might also be available during the week as needed.

Schedules will be assigned based on business need.

Duration: Temporary to Hire based on performance and business need
Pay: $18 – $19 per hour DOE

 

Position Summary:
Manpower is assisting a client seeking a Cashier with excellent Customer Service for the weekend evening shifts. This position will be the Toll Plaza Attendant and register toll transactions collect toll amounts make change and issue receipts to patrons; the Toll Plaza receives an average of 75000 customers per month. Toll Plaza Attendants provide drivers with general information about the toll road as well as information related to local routes and area attractions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and register cash and credit card toll payments for all vehicles driving though the assigned toll lane.

  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to verify amounts tendered check currency received for counterfeit bills provide change for payments and issue a machine printed receipt.

  • Prepare and submit a daily report of toll collections.

  • Provide information to customers regarding FasTrak and respond to general questions regarding local roads and area attractions.

  • Perform beginning of day and end of day check in/out procedures.

  • Perform light maintenance tasks.

  • Assist with the development of new or revised toll collection systems procedures and methods of operation; assist with recommending and implementing enhancements to ensure effective systems and services are in place.

  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • The minimum education training and experience qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of experience in cash handling customer service or a related field. 

  • Demonstrated customer service experience; experience in revenue collection is desirable.

  • Knowledge of record keeping and cashiering; knowledge of electronic toll collection systems is desirable.

  • Experience collecting money make change and process transactions swiftly and accurately.

  • Ability to understand basic laws rules and regulations pertinent to toll collections and the safety of passengers.

  • Excellent customer service skills; effective and professional verbal communication skills.
