This role supports a large nonprofit community services organization based in San Diego that has been serving families children seniors and underserved populations since 1914. The agency operates as one of the region’s largest human services providers delivering programs across early childhood education family support services health nutrition and workforce development.

The work environment is mission-driven focused on strengthening communities through education wellness and social services. Teams operate across multiple program sites throughout San Diego County supporting a continuum of care model that serves individuals from early childhood through senior services.

Position Purpose

Under the direction of the Area Director this position performs moderately complex statistical administrative and management analyses in support of program operations. The role supports data-driven decision making program tracking reporting and process improvement for assigned departments and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze program records datasets and administrative documents

  • Prepare worksheets tracking systems and program documentation

  • Develop maintain and update administrative and project tracking tools

  • Support leadership by monitoring project progress and reporting updates

  • Coordinate with Information Systems to improve data flow and reporting efficiency

  • Interpret program guidelines funding requirements and regulatory standards

  • Conduct cost trend and impact analyses to support program operations

  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for leadership committees and stakeholders

  • Compile data and produce monthly periodic and annual reports

  • Research and recommend policy and procedure improvements

  • Assist in developing program policies procedures and training materials

  • Support staff and volunteer training initiatives as needed

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration Business Administration Early Childhood Education or related field

  • OR equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial statistical or program analysis

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Statistical and administrative analysis principles and methodologies

  • Public/nonprofit budgeting and funding regulations

  • Program compliance standards and reporting requirements

  • Data management systems and advanced Excel functions

  • Business writing reporting and documentation standards

  • Grammar punctuation and professional communication practices

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and standard office tools

  • Experience with databases and reporting systems

  • Ability to perform calculations statistical analysis and data interpretation

  • Ability to create charts reports and analytical summaries

Abilities:

  • Apply independent judgment within established guidelines

  • Interpret and apply policies procedures and regulations

  • Solve problems involving limited standardization

  • Communicate effectively with staff leadership and external partners

  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships

  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a structured environment

Analytical & Reasoning Skills

  • Ability to analyze data trends and interpret findings

  • Ability to follow written verbal and diagram-based instructions

  • Ability to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements

Additional Requirements

  • Must meet state and county childcare licensing requirements including:

    • Fingerprinting clearance

    • TB test

    • Physical exam

    • Immunization requirements

  • CPR and pediatric first aid certification required within 90 days of hire
