Material Handler – 2nd Shift |
Location: San Diego CA 92121
Shift: Monday – Friday 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00/hour DOE
Join a leading life sciences and diagnostics company as a Material Handler! In this role you will support warehouse and manufacturing operations by receiving storing moving and distributing materials while maintaining accurate inventory records in a cGMP-regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with warehouse logistics or manufacturing experience who thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
Receive store issue and distribute materials supplies and equipment.
Load unload and transport materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
Process inventory transactions accurately using inventory management systems.
Pick and stage materials for production work orders.
Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
Ensure accurate labeling counting staging and storage of materials.
Operate material handling equipment including:
Sit-down forklifts
Stand-up forklifts
Side-loader forklifts
Pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
Work safely in narrow aisles and cold storage environments.
Follow all cGMP SOP and company safety guidelines.
Assist with training team members as needed.
Maintain compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse shipping/receiving inventory or material handling experience preferred.
Forklift experience (sit-down stand-up or side-loader) is highly preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing medical device pharmaceutical or cGMP environment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to accurately complete inventory transactions.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand walk and move throughout the shift.
