Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector role ensures that all manufactured products meet customer specifications and quality requirements adhering to the company’s Quality & Operations Management System AS9100 and ISO Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings GD&T and technical specifications.

  • Use precision measuring tools and equipment accurately.

  • Organize daily workloads to meet deadlines and objectives.

  • Conduct mechanical physical and visual inspections of raw materials components and subassemblies per drawings quality process documents and customer specifications.

  • Document and report inspection findings and results.

  • Perform in-process inspections incoming goods inspections and verification of purchased products.

  • Conduct final goods inspections and prepare inspection plans SPCs and COCs.

  • Verify travelers for completeness at all stages of the manufacturing process.

  • Identify segregate and log non-conformances.

  • Evaluate rework acceptability by inspection and completing the non-conformance process.

  • Monitor and follow up on corrective actions related to inspection findings.

  • Ensure all products comply with customer purchase orders drawings and specifications.

  • Collect key characteristic process data for logging in statistical process control charts.

  • Maintain the integrity of inspection documents in the company database.

  • Perform product identification and traceability activities as per work instructions.

  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues identified during inspections.

  • Conduct internal audits of the company QMS in line with the internal audit schedule.

  • Comply with all quality safety and workplace regulations.

  • Suggest continuous improvement ideas to simplify processes enhance throughput improve quality and increase profitability.

  • Participate in internal training as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):

U.S. Person Status required due to export control regulations.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in a quality control role in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Composite manufacturing experience highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to interpret technical instructions perform basic mathematical calculations and read technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented and deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality process documentation.
