Job Title: Shop Helper / General Laborer

Location: Lakeside

Duration: Temp-Hire

Pay: $17.50-$18

Shift: First

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition throughout the shop.

• Perform general facilities cleaning including bathrooms offices shop areas and landscaping.

• Replenish and organize shop break supplies.

• Assist the Shop Foreman and other personnel with various tasks as needed.

• Prepare materials for painting by degreasing polishing grinding and masking.

• Deburr parts and grind welds using appropriate tools.

• Drill holes cut materials and notch tubes at a moderate to fast pace.

• Remove mill scale and shavings from materials.

• Move load and unload materials to support welders and production teams.

• Operate saws and assist with material staging.

• Wrap package and prepare finished materials for shipping.

• Discard scrap and waste materials appropriately.

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment handling low to high-volume production.

• Promote safety awareness and maintain a positive team-oriented attitude.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• 0–3 years of related experience in a fabrication manufacturing or structural shop environment.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physically active work (standing bending twisting reaching).

• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

• Strong safety awareness reliability and teamwork skills.
