Pay Rate: $19.00/hour (4% differential for 2nd shift)
Duration: Temporary
Location: San Diego CA 92121

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to support electrical and mechanical assembly work for a variety of components and products. This role works under direct supervision and may support different product lines based on business needs. Work may be performed in a clean room manufacturing environment depending on staffing and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support production builds as directed by the supervisor to meet manufacturing schedules

  • Follow SOPs work instructions and verbal directions to complete assembly tasks

  • Assist with electrical and/or mechanical assembly and rework processes

  • Inspect components and assemblies for defects or quality concerns

  • Communicate material shortages or inventory concerns to leadership

  • Provide feedback regarding manufacturing or assembly issues

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience using small electromechanical assembly tools such as torque wrenches screwdrivers tweezers UV light sources and adhesive dispensers

  • Ability to work in a clean room manufacturing environment

  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) preferred

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and multitasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Basic math skills including addition subtraction multiplication and division

Education:

  • High School Diploma required

  • Post-high school technical training preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in instrumentation biomedical consumer electronics or related manufacturing/assembly environments

  • Experience with one or more of the following preferred:

    • Microscope or magnification work

    • Plastic components adhesives or fixturing

    • Manual semi-automated or automated assembly equipment

    • Clean room manufacturing practices

  • Experience working in an ISO/GMP regulated environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand walk sit bend stoop kneel and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the shift

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 lbs occasionally

  • Strong close vision color vision and focus adjustment abilities required

  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • May require shift work as needed
