Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Machine Operator I to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Operator will perform a variety of machine operations while maintaining strict safety quality and production standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of machine operation experience preferably with HAAS CNC machinery and a strong commitment to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned work independently in accordance with established Standard Work instructions.

• Operate machinery safely while following all required safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Follow inspection criteria to ensure products meet engineering drawing requirements and Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) standards.

• Use calibrated precision measuring instruments including:

  • Calipers

  • Depth gauges

  • Thread gauges

  • Pin gauges

  • Other precision measuring tools

• Participate in Lean activities and training and apply Lean tools in daily operations including SQDCC Hour-by-Hour Charts Lean Engagement and 5S.

• Communicate operational material or part-related issues to the Team Leader that may affect production quality or output.

• Coordinate with leadership on approved corrective actions to resolve production issues.

• Perform routine operator maintenance and operational checks on departmental tools and equipment.

• Properly segregate and dispose of scrap and recyclable materials in designated collection containers.

• Follow daily direction and support from the Team Leader or Supervisor.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Ability to frequently bend crouch squat kneel reach and climb.

• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to read and write English sufficiently to follow written work instructions and complete required production documentation.

• Minimum of 1 year of machine operation experience; HAAS CNC experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments is preferred.

• Manufacturing or CNC machining experience is highly desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

ITAR Requirement

Candidates must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15. This position is located at an ITAR-controlled facility and eligibility is required for access to controlled technical data and/or work areas.
