Inventory Control Coordinator – 1st Shift

Location: San Diego CA 92130
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $26.72/hour

Manpower is currently seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to support a leading medical device manufacturer in San Diego. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in inventory control manufacturing shipping logistics or warehouse operations who enjoy working in a fast-paced regulated environment. The Inventory Control Coordinator partners closely with Manufacturing Logistics Distribution Planning and Operations teams to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure uninterrupted production support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound inventory transactions stock transport orders raw materials and in-process inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through paper and electronic documentation.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Issue materials to manufacturing and internal customers based on production schedules and operational needs.
  • Support inventory accuracy by maintaining organized warehouse processes and storage locations.
  • Assist with implementing department policies procedures and continuous process improvements.
  • Track and report daily inventory metrics and dashboard data.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Planning Logistics and Quality teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Participate in warehouse and inventory improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control warehouse shipping/receiving logistics or manufacturing.
  • Experience performing cycle counts inventory reconciliation and discrepancy investigations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous ERP system experience (SAP Oracle JD Edwards or similar) is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Medical device biotechnology pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Production planning or material control experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse inventory management systems and inventory best practices.

Work Environment

  • Mixed laboratory and warehouse environment.
  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting supporting production operations.
  • Must be comfortable standing walking lifting materials and working in a regulated environment.
