Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Duration: 1 year with possible extension

Position Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring prompt and accurate shipment of products and verifying incoming shipments to support overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail oriented organized and experienced in shipping and receiving operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify daily shipments from small package carriers and truck deliveries
• Match purchase orders with packing slips and enter shipment information into the system
• Deliver materials to appropriate departments and locations
• Unload and verify freight deliveries using a forklift
• Inspect shipments for damage verify package counts and confirm due dates
• Maintain control of inbound materials parts and supplies
• Perform shipping receiving and inventory transactions within the ERP system
• Process shipments through UPS FedEx and other carriers
• Complete bills of lading air bills and shipping documentation
• Close out daily shipping systems and generate reports
• Coordinate carrier pickups and transportation arrangements
• Handle return shipments to manufacturers
• Package wrap label and prepare materials for shipment
• Maintain vendor purchase order files
• Assist with warehouse organization and maintenance
• Prioritize shipments according to scheduled ship dates
• Receive unpack and verify incoming vendor shipments
• Distribute materials to appropriate departments
• Follow all quality and safety standards and procedures

Requirements

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
• Ability to learn quickly and work accurately in a team environment
• Forklift operation experience required
• Good or corrected eyesight to ensure quality of work

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations
