One-of-a-kind human services company offering services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities home care for seniors as well as education vocational training and job placement for people of all ages and skill levels. We are also dedicated to helping end homelessness by providing shelter and housing assistance to those we serve.
Program provides outreach temporary shelter via Hotel Voucher transportation and Housing Location services to clients that are experiencing homelessness. We are contracted through the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency within the jurisdiction of the Housing Authority of the County of San Diego through organized county outreach events and referrals weenroll eligible clients that are experiencing homelessness and provide shelter. Our Housing Locators will work diligently with clients to identify and apply for housing opportunities. This includes locating affordable units completing applicationspreparing clients for landlord interviews and attending landlord interviews with the clients.
Location: Escondido and Travel throughout San Diego County will be required
(mileage is paid weekly at the current GSA rate)
Schedule: Monday/Friday 8am-5pm (Full Time)
This position is responsible for supporting the Project Director in the operation of the Housing Program. Supervises the Enrollment Specialist and Housing Locator team and all of the contract’s programmatic activities. The Program Manager must ensure that staff are properly trained (in conjunction with the training team) maintaining quality and performance and ensuring there is consistent oversight with client progress. This program supports individuals experiencing homelessness in riverbed encampments. The goal is to provide temporary shelter via hotel voucher while the team focuses on finding affordable housing for the clients. The Program Manager will need to ensure that we are meeting all requirements and deadlines of the contract.
Assist management in addressing the administrative needs
Provide supervision day to day operations of the project.
Manage employees in compliance with company and contract policies and procedures.
Compile and analyze information from a variety of sources to assist in the preparation of reports.
Compare performance data to contract and/or state goals on a weekly basis.
Facilitate staff training and reviews
Interactions and communication with program funder.
Provides leadership in developing and implementing solutions for various challenges.
Responsible for ensuring timely submissions of required reports from all departments and timely submission of reports
Help team with building relationships with property owners and property management.
Investigates troubleshoots and develops/recommends solutions to inquiries problems and issues
Bachelor's degree in business management or human services related field from an accredited university or college or equivalent work experience preferred.
Three years professional experience organizing planning and developing social programs and services at a management level plus two years upper level management experience or equivalent combinations thereof
Experience working with shared housing landlord engagement roommate matching preferred
Strong understanding of Fair Housing
Commitment to customer focused service delivery systems
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Extensive standing sitting computer phone and deskwork required; work primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours although flexible hours may be required; interacts one on one and in groups with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds; availability for occasional out of office meetings conferences and other events may be required
